Meet Dr. Lotus Schifsky
Dr. Lotus Schifsky, also known as Dr. Lotus, is from Prescott...Wisconsin. She began her journey south by attending Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Her next stop in her southern migration was Bloomington, Indiana to attend Indiana University School of Optometry.
While there, she was a member of several honor societies including, Beta Sigma Kappa, Gold Key, and AOA+ Leadership. When not involved with leadership societies, Dr. Lotus spent time volunteering for various community outreach programs and assisting faculty as an associate instructor in various pediatric courses. She was recognized by faculty and peers for her dedication to pediatric care and awarded the COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy.
After graduation, she moved to Louisville, Kentucky to complete her residency in pediatrics and vision therapy at Bowersox Vision Center. While there, her love and knowledge for pediatric care continued to grow as she worked with a variety of patients who had ocular conditions including amblyopia, strabismus, and binocular vision disorders.
Her final stop in her journey south is Phoenix, Arizona with ABC Children's Eye Specialists. She is beyond excited to continue working with pediatric patients to provide optimal care to all. When not in the clinic, Dr. Lotus loves to spend time exploring new places, lifting weights, socializing with friends, and curling up on the couch with a good book and her three cats.
