Dr. Julie McCutcheon
Dr. Julie McCutcheon was born and raised in Arizona and is proud to call it home. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Biological Science at Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society all four years.
After graduation, she completed a residency in primary eye care with the Indian Health Service in Tuba City, Arizona serving the Navajo and Hopi population. This hospital-based training focused heavily of ocular disease management including Diabetic Retinopathy, Amblyopia, Dry eye, Strabismus, Uveitis, and Glaucoma. She is passionate about providing high-quality compassionate eye care to every patient she sees, building trusting relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. McCutcheon is looking forward to bringing her experience to the pediatric patients of Arizona, serving her home community.
Outside of optometry, Dr. McCutcheon enjoys spending time with friends and family including her husband, miniature dachshund, and boston terrier. Her passions include yoga, reading, and rock climbing.
